How to book an appointment
To request an appointment:
- Use our appointment request form, Monday to Friday. This will be reviewed by the Duty Doctor and you will usually be contacted within a few hours.
- Phone us on 01132953460
- Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or other health professional to help you.
For urgent issues or outside of our opening hours, you can also call the NHS on 111 or go online to seek NHS advice 111.nhs.uk.
Cancellations, missed appointments and late arrivals
To cancel your appointment:
- Click the cancel link in your appointment reminder SMS
- Use your NHS app (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- Use the GP online system – Accurx
- Phone us on 01132953460
- If you are late for an appointment you may be asked to re-book.
Missed appointments are a wasted resource and reduce the time available to patients. More than three appointments in a 12-month period ,without letting us know, could mean your removal from our practice list. If you are unable to attend, cancelling quickly means the slot can be given to someone else.
If the doctor or nurse calls you for a telephone appointment and you do not answer, they will try once more. If they are unable to reach you then you may need to contact the surgery to book another appointment.
What happens to my appointment request?
The request will be reviewed by a GP-led team, to determine what your needs are.
If you need administrative help, our Patient Support Team will deal with your request and contact you with the outcome.
For medical requests, the GP will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or other health professional to help you. There are many parts to our clinical team, including…
