Our team are working very hard to try and meet demand for appointments, but the requests for appointments is higher than we have ever seen, both on -the-day and advance-booked. We share your frustrations at this situation.
At the moment, we receive over 2,000 calls a week and 50-80 requests for on-the-day appointments daily. We also continue to offer the option to book ahead but there is currently a 4-week wait.
If you possibly can, please use e-consult on the website or contact NHS111 for advice before calling the practice as it may be that your issue can be dealt with by someone else, such as a community pharmacist.
We are currently working with NHS England to review our appointments system but the reality is that demand far exceeds the number of appointments we can offer. We need to prioritise care for patients who are clinically most at risk.

This includes information on how long you can expect symptoms them to last and when you need to contact 111 or the GP.
